This is an image I had in mind for a long time. A big SF city like those from the old science-fiction movie Metropolis seen from a passengers perspective. Something which makes you feel small and insignificant. The plane symbolizes technology also gives us the chance to elevate us above the highest buildings. My inspiration for this image also came from some even older H.G.Wells books. In these times skyscrapers and planes where pretty new and the first signs of a future world which is now reality.

Interesting, but the colors are a bit awkward somehow? To me, the plane looks like a bomber or something. :) |

Yes, the colors are a bit odd and overdone. The idea was to emphazize this is some kind of alternative reality. Not our reality, but how people may have imagined our time. Not sure if it works for everyone. About the plane, the original version of this image is from 2000. At this time everyone I asked got the message right. But since september 2001 many people feel uneasy if they see planes and scyscrapers together. I am aware some people will even vote me down because of this. |

This isn't my cup of tea, but I don't think seeing planes and skyscrapers together is any justification for voting nah!

Oh, yes. September and everything. I was thinking about World War II, not crazy terrorists. Good thing we have people from all over the world. :) |

Ah! Didn't think of that! Even so, doesn't matter, either way I still think there's no justification for voting nah on the grounds that it reminds people of war or makes people uneasy.
