sometimes we cannot fix our own mistakes

A tree was chopped up near my house for a unknown reason. I retrieved the pieces and photographed each piece seperately and rearranged the tree back somewhat to its former glory. I did not want the piece to be perfectly put together so it was clear to the viewer than it was once a cut up tree. Also this non-perfect image relates to the world we live in today... our world which is so fragile and vulnerable. The name comes from our obsession with man-made objects and materials, it also plays on the subject that once we destroy a tree we cannot resurrect or save the tree from which it once stood tall.
