Bottled Hope!

For this illustration, I wanted to 'bottle' positivity and hope. Sometimes when someone is ill, it is easy to lose sight of these things. By combining positivity/hope into a creature, hopefully anyone looking at the image will not feel alone. I added two more characters at either side of the bottle to help ensure this further.

They're all on an island floating on a sea which is sometimes rough and at other times calm. Illness can feel like a journey, which is what these people are on with their bottled positivity/hope helping them through it.

Claire Horgan (alias ClaireH)

I am a graphic designer/ illustrator originally from Ireland. I am currently
studying a Masters in Visual Arts in London. I am very motivated and I see creativity as a way of life. I have worked with True Talent Records and gained studio experience working as a graphic designer at Spotless Media in Devon (May-September 2008). I am excited about working in the design industry full time when I graduate. All job offers welcome! :). I am skilled at using Photoshop, Illustrator, Imageready, Indesign, Quark Xpress and I am always improving my knowledge of Flash and Dreamweaver. I also studied a ten-week course of 3D Studio Max at London College of Communication. I am very enthusiastic to learn new things.

My other interests include going to concerts (rock and metal mainly), playing piano, sailing and occasionally staying up on a surfboard. I also love adventure and on my travels I have enjoyed skiing, skydiving, bridge jumping, hydrospeed (going down rapids with a special board instead of a boat) and canyoning (jumping down boulders and going behind waterfalls, descending a gorge).
