Guy Browning

Born in South East Asia to liberal British Expats, I seek inspiration from many of the places I've been exposed to. From Singapore to Arizona, Ireland to Puerto Rico, my imagination has been stimulated by the various cultures and tones of contrasting lands. My love for art has been instilled since youth, spending countless hours sketching and painting, and now evolving with the digital age. Combined with my love for photography, the digital medium has no limits to expressing my imagination. Enthralled by elements of every day life, I love seeing the prevailing character or spirit of a place, in my own way.

And I love swimming in the ocean, playing music, and VW Beetles. Life is good.

"Vancouver Roots" started from a couple of photos I took in downtown Vancouver. With a few ideas, combined with some photoshop work, I was inspired by the city's raw and free-spirited culture. I simply experimented with different colors and textures that illustrated Vancouver in the way I see it. Even with its many gray days, it is a vibrant and colorful city.

I like combining modern techniques with a splash of seemingly free-hand zest and energy. People, street art, music and life provide endless inspiration for me.
