The 24 finalists of YayArtist '08!

Marvin HUI a.k.a. emptyconcept (Hong Kong). He is currently an Art Director at a new media studio. He has been an artist to participate in First Beijing International New Media Arts Exhibition and Symposium while he was a university student. In 2007, he was being invited to be a photographer to contribute on an installation “Body Movies” (Hong Kong) by an international well-known artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.

At the same time, he is an event photographer in many festivals such as Microwave International New Media Arts Festival. He is also a designer and animator in several commercial projects which helps different kinds of clients (such as Innovation Expo'05, ITU, Sony, Canon Expo & The EIGHT, Grand Lisboa Hotel) produces interfaces design and animation solutions.

Beauty is commonly defined as a characteristic present in a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction to the mind or to the eyes, arising from sensory manifestations such as a shape, color, personality, sound, design or rhythm.
Anjaylia is special in my vision. Her shining eyes and her expressions attracted me to create this work. “Beauty” should be the best word to describe her.
