The 24 finalists of YayArtist '08!

I was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany. I've worked as a freelance illustrator for more than a decade, which allows me to make a living from my passion for drawing. In 2004, I made a new home in Barcelona, Spain, where I currently reside. These are Pencil or pen line drawings, converted into digital graphics.

In this strange forest the young transparent octopus trees have tentacle roots and the old sentimental, multiple-headed trees wear old fashioned hairdos, it always rains in these woods, where the jelly owls prefer wearing russian hats because it´s so freakin’ cold.
How is that? It’s a bit hard to discribe how to come to develop a world that strange, you start at one point and it’s aesthetics keeps growing and growing. After all these are nice and whimsical creatures who won’t do any harm, they just love to live in their cosy, earthy tone universe.
